Want to get a recon 2.0 aircooled to pop into my T 25. Anyone had any good or bad experiences with any motors or the firms that offer them? Loads about at various prices I know. In need of guidance!

where you based fella?, there's a few people who specialise in type IV engines who use this forum.

A lot of horror stories are out there about re-manufactured units. They are cheap, and you often get what you pay for.

I've got a number of someone I'd trust to do it, but if you're in Scotland, it'd be of little use to you!
based in south Wales. Would appreciate a trusted name very much. Don't really want to part with my hard earned for poor a quality quality job.
Don't know anyone in your area, but Judgie on here (RNJ Motorsport) does a lot of type IV work, and L.A.R.D (LA Performance) both "do" type IV's in my area.
cheers man, will look into it . Do you know if these guys have web sites? don't mind travelling if someone will do a pukka job.
iam here, but iam stacked till february, no chance before then, ask judgie hes working for himself these days, then if you like we will dyno it for you. stay away from pretty coloured crankcases. all the best Lee.
my website ,s over there dude __________________________
http://www.rnjmotorsport.co.uk/ 07811 914 732, only ever heard and seen good things!, he has a hill climb 1302, which rocks!

and LA Performance have a link over there ---->>>, Lee has a number of interesting motors, and again, heard only good things.

Rob (Judgie, RNJ Motorsport) is a mate of mine, but I wouldn't endorse or recomend him unless I had 100% faith in his work, I'm even getting him to make me a cool exhaust for my type 25 2.o aircooled, once I've got the cash!!!!

I didn't want to say anything about "pretty crankcases ;)"

Judgie is working for himself, yes.
nice, will check out those links and ta for the advice about the pretty coloured crank cases.
I've seen two type 4 engines that Judgie has built, and they are both monsters :D.

The guy knows his stuff. ;) If I have the cash, he'll be building mine
