Just three quick questions if that's OK. I recently went on a purchasing spree (chrome hand brake, new window wipers, door pulls, handles, door seals and door sill). My questions are:

1) Is there a good way to remove the existing crappy door seal? Or just rip it off?

2) How do I apply the new seal? Some kind of glue?

3) Are door sills any good? I read they protected something, and were quite cheap, so what the hey? Also how will I attach them?

if yours are as bad as mine were, ripping them off won't be too hard. evostick did the job for the new ones. only adhesive i've found that works, but others will offer other opinions

door sills - i have a bus - guess you have a bug as i'm not sure what you're referring to?

yep just pull the old seals off.

To fit the new ones will mean you have to remove the pin from the little check bar thingy, half way up the doors at the front. Be carfeful that your door does not swing wide open when its out.

Clean all the crap out of the recess for the seal and check for any potential rust spots. I did not use any glue on mine whne fitting.

The door step sill plate covers. You have to drill and use self tappers, thats what I did maybe theres another way, I also had to remove the running boards to fit mine, but yours may be different.

right, with you now. better than drilling & self tapping screws would be those machine screws. much neater. needs specialist tools - so prob not worth buying but getting someone to do it for you.

also, are you not creating a moisture trap under these? rust surely beckons? create a seal with some sort of silicone - make sure there's no gaps and drive any moisture out first

door seals - you didn't buy the cheap shite did you? they won't fit! mind you, nor did my expensive orig german ones - but much closer!
