The simple Draper gun is fine and works well. If you have/make the necessary timing marks on the pulley, this is all you need for a bug or bus.

The meter looks fine as well.

anyone know if that maplin multimeter comes with any leads?

bit far from my nearest one to go check!
i went to onethe other day, and asked the same thing! they seemed to think it did but they had none is stock to check :rolleyes: ill let you know when i get mine if you like?

cheers for the replys too :) looks like ill be investing pretty soon :D

I can't think of any reason why it wouldn't have leads - they are essential to it's operation, not a optional accessory...

arrived today, can confirm comes with all leads you could possibly need
-pointy pair
-croc clips pair
-(the massiveist) inductive pickup lead clamp
hey dude got mine to! got both so goin to do timing on monday :)

cool.

I didnt get on too well with the RPM counter, need to check it on a car with a rev counter, if its really far out I might get one of those cheap crappy bolt on your dash ones and put it either removable or permanent in the engine bay..... much more useful than the dash
