......can anyone recommend paint for tinware please?? Is smoothrite ok?

Would rather be on the safe side if any doubt

Yep, that'll be fine, tinware shouldn't get anywhere near hot enough to burn paint.

yep ive got smoothrite on mine, no probs but make sure you prep the surface well to get rid of all the oil and smeg...

I'd recommend the heat resistant enamel paint from B+Q ! i used a varnish fine bristled brush and it came out PUKKA! great coverage as well 750mll covers loads! brand name is INTERNATIONAL. AS AN ADDED BONUS ITS HEAT RESISTANT TO UP TO 200 DEGREES.
Not expensive either!
