Twin Weber 44 IDF issue

So my 2180 with twin 44 Weber IDF's has started to play up!

Closer inspection shows that cylinders 1 & 2 were not firing at idle.

There is a spark so I took the carb off and blew the jets, etc through with compressed air.

Managed to get cylinder 1 firing but still can't get cylinder 2 to fire at idle.

Any ideas?

Spray easy start down number 2 throat while it's running. If no 2 doesnt come to life, the carb is still blocked/miss adjusted.

Thanks mate I'll give it a go.
Take out the idle jets and the mixture screw and blast air down the holes both ways, check and blow out the idle jet and see how it is, mine has done it few times and that's cured it every time

Thanks mate I'll try blowing out the mixture screws.
Ok I've literally blown a hurricane through every jet and passage way and still can't get the carbs to run...I may have to just bite the bullet and buy a new set unless anyone has any other ideas????
have you swapped jets over from side to side and see if the problem still persists

No I haven't tried that yet but jets are all clear
Did you spray down the carb.
Is the O ring on the end of the jet holder.
Take the lead off the plug, fit a plug to the lead, confirm lead/plug works.
Check for tight tappet on the non responsive cylinder, make sure carb shaft isn't twisted. ( the butterfly opposite will be open, the non responsive butterfly will be closed.
What he said, they did work so something has gone wrong, you just need to find the something, if not spark or valves then, it has got to be fuel not getting where its supposed to be, engines need 3 things, fuel, compression and a spark. I know it's not what you want to here but check again, carefully, and try to follow the fuels path, somewhere along the way it's pathway is blocked, I have had similar. Then the face palm moment when you go 'how did I not spot that'
Idf idle jets are notorious for blocking. The jet hole is tiny on a size 60. The taper on the mix screw is acute, unlike a dell mix screw. Idf mix screws are close to good when 1.5 turns out from closed. Make sure linkage is opening both carbs equally
Thanks for replies guys. Tried all of the above and still no joy. I ended taking the carbs off my other car and putting them on and it ran fine. Proves that one of the carbs is shagged I guess!
Ring Euro carb. They might take a look at it

Get them pro cleaned. I had 1 that was a pig, always clogging and o matter how many times i cleaned it never cured it so i bit the bullet and sent them to https://weber-carbs.co.uk Paul did a full clean, service and posted back in 2 weeks and so far perfect. Far cheaper than buying a new set too
