IMHO yes. I've seen it done and it really did look awful! I don't mean any harm in my comments but I too have previously fallen for the love of the older look and tried to change what I had. If I were you, I'd stick with Europas and make the car special in another way.

Its not for my bug but a mates he wants me to fit them for him so im trying to find the easiest way, you may be right but hes bling mad and i think no stopping him, already has the bumpers, still i can make my judgement on some elses bug

Hehe. I think SSP used to do the brackets. Not sure if they still do though. They were a bit weird though anyway.
