hello,

my bus is drinking juice like theres no tomorrow, i went to santa pod a few weeks ago and filled her up 3 times just to do 300 or so miles which isn't good :( i first though there may be a fuel leak but thats not the case!

ive had a little look and not to sure what im doing, it seems to be idling really high, theres a notched cog on the carb that i pressume to be the choke thats stuck on the top notch, not just when i start the van but when ive driven it for a good 20 minutes, is this my problem? and if it is what do i do to sort it out?

any help would be great :D

Sounds like it. The automatic choke spring SHOULD pull the fast idle cam off once it gets hot. Could be a broken choke, could be that its not connected electrically, could be a number of other things - sticky linkage, air filter on too tight, etc etc

There is a thread on this (with pics) in the Tech Archive - suggest you have a look there first.

Hope this helps.
