My latest finds from various boot sales
The maisto Baja I bought a couple of years ago, but it's been in the glovebox of the bus since them. I saw @bunglebus 's post about his modified one and it reminded me.
Corgi rockets bizzarrini manta was a great find at £2. I seem to have started a sub-collection of rockets.
Then I had a run on racing cars. A slightly better condition Formula 5000 than the one I bought last year.
A hot wheels (it was 20p)
The purple Matchbox formula 1 I passed on several times at my local antiques emporium because of the bent axles, but in the end I felt sorry for it, as no-one else bought it for 50p.
Then, something interesting. A Polistil Ferrari 312 B3. I can find very little about these online. It's a really nice model.
A bent rollamatic clipper (20p) and finally, the steal that was a super kings 911 for £1.

Always wanted that 911 and never got one lol got a nice 944 instead lol. Has the purple car got rear pipes that move, rolamatics? I’d a similar car boxed.

I've done a custom version of that 911 (and the Superfast to match), the version I'd like to find is the metallic green one - that's what my custom one was before someone painted it black...

I kept it black but hopefully did a better job of it

@Jim yes, the pipes move, but a previous owner has cut off the pegs on the back wheels.
Clipper. A miniature Shovel Nose!

Cool. I've got the fire chief version of the super speed. Coincidentally, I found another pink superfast that was in good condition in an antique shop, but they wanted £4 and I'm too cheap to pay that.
Having said that, after watching scouting for toys, and ignoring superfast for years, I'm now getting quite into them. Perfect timing not

Well, patience is a virtue after all. I went back to my local antiques emporium today, and the pink shovel nose had been moved to a £1 box 'out front'
Also a nice pinched axle Daimler ambulance for £1

Boot sale finds today.
Shovel nose speed King, there's a theme this week.
Two Matchbox superfast I have not seen before. Nice condition, £3 the pair. Sooper cooper appears to have a VW engine. And Tyre Fryer, with a massive Ford big block v8. I am definitely starting to warm to these big wheel superfast.
More racing cars, one Speed king, one super king, and a little Matchbox tipper.

Whoosh-N-Push is another that uses the VW engine from the pink Beach Buggy, Picked this one up today for 50p mainly for it's engine as the buggies often lose them

I also grabbed (among others) this AMX Javelin in the rarer blue colour

A couple of weeks ago I found this Dinky Land Rover at the boot sale

While I have respect for Land Rovers, they're not all that exciting to me so I figured I could give it a quick repaint and flog it on. Of course it's not been plain sailing so owes me quite a few hours, looks alright though

Ha no, doors open nicely but the bonnet won't quite shut once the interior is in place for some reason.

Got this one done today, bought it quite a while ago and done bits on it now and again. Sometimes I lose motivation with projects, with larger scales than 1:64 the usual problem is a lack of suitable custom wheels. So it was with this Dinky Porsche 914

I nabbed a set of Fuchs off a modern 911 for it

This arrived today, a Spanish Guisval MK1 Fiesta

I already had a Mira, another Spanish brand's version

I have a bit of a soft spot for a MK1 as it was my first car, inherited from my granddad. I think I've had five altogether.

Mira and Guisval/Guiloy made some good models of 70's fords, with the Taunus/Cortina and Granada being produced.

I while ago I acquired this 1970 Hot Wheels Nitty Gritty Kitty

It had a fair bit of damage, heavy scratches and a dent in the roof

I got 95% of the scratches and the dent removed, and gave it a polish

Then I laid on some stained glass paint (this is the forth attempt!), polished the base, painted the rear lights and replaced the wheels with a new set from Brightvision - not the easiest things to source in the UK now, the seller I used last time had shut his online shop but I tracked him down and relieved him of his remaining stock

Think I’ve the fiesta somewhere or at least had, the wheels always fell off those guidvsl die casts. I’d a toy scrapyard and think thst was in it lol.
I picked up a norev fiesta in a random shop when I was a kid, kept it mint and yellow for ages then gave in and painted it red and detailed it, opening boot.
Awesome job on the tuanas😎
