Hi

Anyone ever had problem with the washer hose leaking at the washer switch?

Think the rubber pipe has lost its grip, but when ever I cut the end off and re install, it still leaks (The switch has not got any cracks).

Question is, anyone know the internal diametre of this hose ? got some of the clear 'plastic' hose but it does not grip.

Fuel line any good ???

Thanks

I have had this problem in the past too, trouble is the 30+ year old original clear plastic washer pipe ends up yellow and quite hard/brittle.
Managed to fix it by cutting off about 1/4 inch of the pipe, heating the new cut end very carefully by dunking it in a cup of freshly boiled water, letting it soften, remove from water and quickly push hose where its meant to be......
It easily goes home when its soft and as it cools down it contracts and forms a good seal......no leaks for me anyway.
Just make sure the body of the switch definitely isn't cracked though as its hard to really see it in situ? May be wise to remove it for examination to be 100% sure?
