They did a 1.6 diesel Golf from 1990 onwards IIRC.

what about a passat or vento? they've a pretty large range of engines, years, and prices, i'd bet 3k'd get you a smart one but if you're not too bothered by a big boot or space, then you'd get a really smart Mk2 golf for that, maybe even a G60

yeah it will look sweet but to drive it around it will take away the much needed cash!! drinks so much! i just want an economical car!
