wide 5 pattern tyre balancing

Anyone know of any major companies that can balance a tyre with a wide 5 stud pattern (apparently most can't) - alternatively, anyone know of anywhere in/near Bristol that can do it?

Most tyre places can, they just dont realise or dont care- they just need to use the ford transit adaptor. If they can do a transit they can do a wide 5.
Apparently, I have heard that it is possible to use a brake drum with the wheel bolted to the drum, enabling the wheel and drum to be fitted to a modern day tyre balancing machine.
I have never tried it, so if you do, I didnt say it, ok?
If you do though, let us know how you get on?
:D
That would work but youd be balancing the drum aswell..........

IMHO Correct to a degree. There would be some effect but as the drum is close to the centre of rotation, surely the effect would be minimal?
Surely balancing the drum as well, is an even better scenario than without as the drum will always be joined to wheel when driving!! and everything will be in balance. I didnt bother balancing mine on my buggy and it drives fine.... But i would be interested to know the outcome of this.

Cheers
