Alternator Question

In my bay when you start her up the generator light stays on and goes out if you give the (1600tp) engine a wee rev. Its an alternator conversion with electronic ignition (if that makes a difference) and I presume a built in regulator.

Any ideas from you electrical whizz's out there?

I'd be inclined to ignore it until it doesn't go out when you rev it slightly, then replace the regulator.

My Ghia does the same since I've converted it to an alternator and I'm still driving.

I don't think it's anything to worry about.

Sorry to disappoint you then, but we were just joking.

You really need a new alternator before this one disintegrates and takes your engine with it........like tomorrow.
