ive got a mk4 gti petrol golf , just replaced a brake pipe and ive now lost the clutch ? are they connected in some way and if so how do i sort it ?

Yes they are, the Hydraulic system for the clutch is run off the brake fluid, if you didn't bleed that when you bled the rest of the brakes it'll have air in it. The bleed nipple is on the top of the gearbox near the shift rod bushes
