fink u need ta look at the offset of the wheels and get aset that mtch ur wheels. ie if ur tellydials are et56 n ur golf is et38 then i fink ud prob need 20mm ones. fink thats how it wrks bro

 

All i know is that you need a set with a high'ish ET.

 

Presume you're going to get some 7J x 15 teledials, which come in offsets of 52.3 (later ones) and 23.3 (early ones). Standard offset is 38 on a 6J wheel, but it depends on what look you're after? Standard, tucked or some poke? The ones on the jetta /\ look a bit wider than standard, so I'd probably go for a 52.3 offset teledial with 25mm adaptors giving you an offset of 27.3, or if you're running low car without any arch work go for 20mm to lessen chance of scrubbing

depending on what wheels you currently have on it, it normally has a bunch of numbers pressed/cast either on the back or under the centre cap, and depending on what wheels you currently have depends on what sort of porsche wheels you would have to look for.

my mk3 golf had factory 14" x 6" wheels with an ET of 45mm, when i got some 17s the new wheels were 17" x 7" ET 40mm so quite a close match meaning they sit under the arches like a factory wheel.

lots of people go for the porsche 928 'Winter Wheels' which are flat discs with slots round the edge because they tend to be 7" (think 8" on the read but I have seen lots of sets of 4x 7" sets) and standard they have a 65mm offset, that means with a 25mm adaptor you get an offset of 40mm making it like factory, obviously you can get away with a litte be less like 37mm but it means they stick out more which may cause clearance issues.
