Tightening the lower steering knuckle nut

Hi, probably a still question but can anyone tell me how to tightening the lower steering knuckle / axle nut? Top one with the camber nut was fine but the lower one just turns on the balljoint when it try to tighten it. what am I missing?

Any help much appreciated.

i tend to carefully lift the car with a jack under the trailing arm to put pressure on the balljoint and hold it in place.

I will give that a try however I'm working with a bare chassis so there is not much weight to lift.

Rope the jack to the car then.
