Hi,

Got my Dove blue rusto coming, and i'm thinking roller, but seen a couple electric HPLV guns about and heard some good results...
same for rollers though!
Any input either way?

Thanks!

depends where your painting

i used a roller as i was working in the family garage full of all the family's stuff as well as the camper

if i had used a spray gun there would of been over spray everywhere and not popular with the wife

got some 180 grit disks for my orb sander to give it a key on the old paint and some 600 for between coats (wet) :) excited!
Spent under ÂŁ42 on mixed paint which came out great, i asked for dove blue.
and ÂŁ38 for a brush, two roller packs and 10 spare rollers, two 5 packs of orb paper, masking tape and some micro towels for wiping down....

ÂŁ80 paint job coming up....

Looking forward to seeing how this turns out.
I roller painted this a couple of years back:

Only gave it one coat and didn't mop it afterwards but it looked decent enough from a few feet away.;)

how were you loading up the roller and rolling that? did it not run like fook? maybe i'm just loading too much up?

everyday is a school day! after my first coat being thick i'm going for thin coats now!

Ive done both, im more partial to the spray gun if you have the facilites, mostly extraction.

With rollers, I personally had a lot of prep between each coats, where as with a spray gun I didn't bother, until the end. I did use a cheap paint with the rollers, so maybe that was the particular problem.
